Kolašin is a small tourist town located at an ideal altitude of 1000 meters in central Montenegro. It is located on the upper course of the Tara River, one of the most famous Montenegrin rivers, and is surrounded by the mountain ranges of Bjelasica, Sinjavina, and Komovi, and the centuries-old forests of Biogradska gora National Park.

Kolašin is popular among tourists throughout the year: from January to April, it is a ski resort that in recent years, especially since the opening of the new ski center, has reached almost European standards. The rest of the year (from April to November), the area attracts lovers of rafting, canyoning, horseback riding, jeep safaris, fishing, and simple hiking through the forests and mountains of the national parks surrounding Kolašin.
