Rozaje is a small village in the northeast of Montenegro located on the banks of the River Ibar. The city is surrounded by mountains, of which Hajla stands out with a height of 2403 meters of elevation. The town was named after the old fortress of Rogaja, while the first signs of the settlement date back to before the new era. Many archeological sites speak of the presence of various cultures in prehistoric times. Near the town are the remains of an Illyrian settlement. There are several primary schools and two secondary schools in the settlement. In recent years, the city has developed into a modern settlement, but at the same time it has preserved its traditional style. Rozaje is known for its cultural event that has been held for two decades - the children's song festival "Golden Snowflake". In addition to this, there are other entertainments and tourist events known under the common name "Hot Winter in the Hills". The city has good connections by highways with the central and coastal part of Montenegro on the one hand and Serbia and Kosovo on the other.
