Danilovgrad is a small town in the central part of Montenegro. It has slightly less than 20,000 inhabitants in the municipality, or 5,000 in the city itself. The river Zeta passes through the fertile plain, while on the north side it is bordered by high mountains with popular weekend resorts. Near Danilovgrad is the most famous religious monument in Montenegro - the Ostrog Monastery. The Ostrog Monastery is one of the most visited religious sites not only in the country but also in the Balkans. It was built on the site of the highest cave hermitages by the decision of St. Basil. From the educational centers in the municipality of Danilovgrad, there are 4 primary schools, a music school, and two highschools.
