Virpazar, Bar, Crna Gora
Virpazar is a fishing village between Bar and Podgorica. It is located on Skadar Lake and is connected to the mainland by three old stone bridges. Wines from this area have been awarded numerous prestigious prizes at world exhibitions. The first name of the settlement comes, according to some records from 1242 with the name Vir. It is assumed that at that time it was a shopping center for the surrounding villages and in the 18th century it was the largest shopping center in Montenegro. Once a year, the event "days of bleak" is held when you can try their specialties from nearby restaurants. At the top of the hill in the center of the village is an old Turkish fortress from the XV century, which offers an unforgettable view of Skadar Lake and Crmnica villages.
