Nikšić is the second city in the state of Montenegro in terms of population (about 80,000 inhabitants live in this municipality). It is located under the mountain Trebjese in the central part of Montenegro. The first sources about the existence of the city were recorded in the IV century as a Roman military fortification called Anderba, the existence of which is evidenced by the fortress Onogost.
