Plav is a small town with 4000 inhabitants that stretches on the brinks of river Lim at the foot of the mountain range Prokletije. Data related to the first Roman settlement in the area date back to the 7th century, and Plav was named after the Roman emperor Flavius. It is known for many cultural and historical monuments, the most famous of which are: Redžepagić Tower, Sultanija Mosque, and Holy Trinity Monastery.
