Risan is a small town in the Bay of Kotor and is the oldest settlement in this area. Rich in history, Risan offers an incredible journey into the past. Risan makes a unique attraction - ancient Roman mosaics. The first evidence of the city dates back to the 3rd century BC. The city was a well-fortified settlement under the rule of the Illyrian queen Teuta. In the center is the church of Saints Peter and Paul from 1601. The entire length of the town stretches to Risan beach. The sea is warm and allows for a long swimming season. At 4 km from Risan, next to the village of Lipci, there is a cave with drawings from the Bronze Age
